Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
We HQ ("We HQ", "we", "us", or "our") operates the We HQ application at app.americanfamilyrevolution.com and its mobile applications (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and authentication credentials, along with any profile details you choose to provide (such as your first and last name).
- Subscription and purchase information. If you support the mission through a subscription, the purchase is processed by our payments provider — Stripe on the web, and the Apple App Store or Google Play in our mobile applications — and managed through RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status, tier, and transaction identifiers. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- Usage and content-interaction data. We collect information about how you use the Service, such as the content you view, the features you use, and the actions you take. This includes analytics events processed by Google Analytics for Firebase.
- Device and technical data. We automatically collect device and connection information such as device model, operating system, browser and app version, language, general location inferred from your IP address, and diagnostic and crash data that help us keep the Service reliable.
- Communications and notifications. If you contact us, we keep a record of that correspondence. If you enable push notifications, we process a device push token in order to deliver them.
- Content you write, including about other people. Some features invite you to write in your own words — for example, the family values assessment asks you to name people who have shaped you and to describe moments you want to remember. What you write may name other people, such as a partner, a family member, or a friend, and may include their first name. This content is private to your account: it is readable only by you, it is never shown to other members, it is never used to build a profile of anyone you name, and no one you name is contacted or notified. It is stored so the feature can show it back to you, and it is deleted along with the rest of your account information when you delete your account (see "Data retention" and "Your rights and choices"). Please write only what you are comfortable keeping.
Cookies and similar technologies. The Service stores data on your device to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request details) for security and reliability.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- process and confirm subscriptions and manage your supporter status;
- send service-related messages and, where you have opted in, push notifications;
- understand how the Service is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it;
- respond to your questions and provide support;
- monitor, diagnose, and fix problems, and protect the security and integrity of the Service; and
- comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers. We rely on trusted third parties to operate the Service, including Stripe and the Apple App Store and Google Play (billing and app distribution), RevenueCat (subscription management), Google Firebase and Google Cloud (authentication, hosting, database, analytics, and crash diagnostics), Sentry (error diagnostics), a content-delivery provider (to stream content), and an email provider (to send messages). These providers may process your information only on our instructions and for the purposes described in this policy.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or We HQ.
- Business transfers. If We HQ is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
When you delete your account, the content you wrote in the app — including anything you wrote about other people in the family values assessment — is deleted with it.
5. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access, correction, and deletion. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information — including deletion of your account — by contacting us at privacy@we-hq.com or by using the account controls in the app.
- Push notifications. You can turn off push notifications at any time in your device settings.
- Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel a subscription from the account controls in the app, or through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings if you subscribed there.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have additional rights, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. We honor these rights as required by applicable law; contact us to exercise them.
7. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
8. International users
We may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection when it is transferred.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10. Contact us
